Turns out, you're not my daughter

I'm not going to change this, because this is my blog to you and to change it would make it lost some of it's meaning. But I did want to take a chance and tell you that I'm proud of you. This year you told me you're my son, and that's perfectly fine with me! As long as I get to have you as my child, it doesn't matter.

I've been watching you embrace yourself and your identity and it's been fun to watch. To watch you heal from the past and come into yourself as an adult has been exciting. I hope you never stop sharing with me. I hope we're always this close.

I started this blog because I was afraid I would die and you would not know who I was and what I wanted for you. Now, I've not written in it as often because you are in front of me all of the time and you know who I am and how much I love you. Maybe it's time to give this up and share it with you because I do want to share it with you, but I do love still having a private place to post little things that I want you to  never ever forget.
